There have been mixed feelings on this issue. Some like it and some don't. The button also serves as a reminder to residents if they have forgotten their access cards and if they have left it at home. If everyone uses this, then the system record at PMO will only show residents coming IN and never going OUT. Why ? Because the push button does not record anything at all !

can i ask a question? does that means, without access card the person can push the button and go out of their block, then without access card, how are they going to go back into the block? expecting to tail-gate or the guard to open the door? then what is the point of access card?
i think they have an access card but just dont want to use it.
For me, prefer it without the push button. What's the use of having access card system but not implement it fully??

I go for without push button. And can I suggest that the guard cannot open the door to residents/visitor unless d guard have the order from d guard house? Better still the guard from guard house accompany the visitor to the block.

"Access Card" is to provide security and we all agree that safety is a our main concern and responsibilities. So what we all want as armanee residents? There is no such perfect system as convenience to everyone!
Regarding to emergency exits, management have to resolve it with glass cover. Question regarding children go to school, if the children can press the push button why they can't use the access card? who going to open for them when they back from school? Our "bellboys" guard again? Same answer apply to swimming pool area, you want "push button" for faster exits then how u come in later?

Last time when came to Armanee during weekend, so shock by the crowd walking around inside condo and poolside, i thought i'm entering a Resort or Hotel....
Now with new securities is way lot better~~ so please remain the access card,no push button

‘Safety” is the first and priority concern for us who staying in the same common community. We suppose to help each others, please do not selfish and think for your own conveniences only.
I am fully support the current security system, I think everybody will feel it is much secured now after the new implementation of the security system.
OMG! Even you stayed in the bungalow and having auto gate, you still need the remote control to open the gate, so why you expect “Bellboy” service?
For those who keep on complaining and choose the conveniences option, if one day you are so unluckily and got break-in case in yuor unit, could you responsible yourselves and do not blame the security system and all related parties?
Safety vs Convenience, please think twice before you make your choice.
Suggestion : Could we have supplementary card for other members who need to access the building lobby only? (Different type from master card for main gate access).

why do we have to fight about PB or not.. solve health issue first.. just look at the abandoned cascading pool.. now full with jentik2.. that's why there's always dengue cases at armanee..!!

I would say no to the push button. I did find it inconvenient at first but getting used to it now, as how all other residents will be after using it for awhile. All for the sake of better security! Plus it is also good the guards do not simply open the door for you and you will need to register in the book if you've forgotten your access card.
One q though. People still can.go.tru the post box room to the block without access card??

lyssa - we will be installing access card readers for all mailroom bloks - that should resolved the problem
KS - they abandon cascading pool is still under the Developer (MKLand) MBPJ has issued numerous summons to them on this matter

imho access card, thumb print or eye scan all serve the purpose of improving the security.. the most convenient is of course the access card.. so, I pleased to see the coming back of our access card at guard house and lobby.. thanx to PMO for providing us with thin smart card that can easily fit my wallet.. till now, I never face any problem or inconvenience of coming in and going out from my block..
as far as a vote for removing the push button is concern, my vote go for YES to push button.. here is my reasoning :
1) I believe the best way to prevent any unauthorized person from entering our block is by cutting their/ his access from entering. the usage of access card to enter lobby already serve the purpose.. if intruder can still manage to enter by beating the system ( I can see a lot of people doing it. I will not mentioned 'how' here) going out will not b a problem to them.. that's why I can't see any added security by removing the push button..
2) PMO should study any legal issue that can b arise and seek approval from relevant authority first.. my point is, in the event of any emergency case happen ( accident or fire) people can leave or evacuate their block in a short span of time to seek any help because in case of life and death situation, every second count. I worried, someday somebody see the current system ( without push button and anti pass back) cause life to their family member, they will bring PMO to court..

kay - each any every blok has a break glass for emergency exit from the blok - if you're going out - its located just beside the access card reader (in the inside) so no problem of going out in emergency - just break the glass and the door will open - btw - the anti passback policy is only enforced at the guardhouse only - and not at bloks

First of all, i wanna say NO PUSH BUTTON AT ALL!!!!!!
Secondly, i am agreed with PY, 100%!!! Safety is the first concern and we cannot expect "Bellboy" service....
As i am experienced of break in recently ( just 2 days after Raya Haji)i'm in Trauma now!!
To us, "SAFETY" is No. 1 now not "CONVENIENCE"...
I have to install alarm system, engaged the service and pay the maintanance fees every month just for SAFETY purposes!! Where got ppl stay in Condo install alarm somemore??
For those who did not agreed, pls think it over and try to change our mentality.
It's all about attitude and mentality.... i did find inconvenience at first by using the access card but get use to it after awhile and now it become my attitude already, whenever wanna go out i'll make sure my car key and access card with me!!!
Another thing, pls action ASAP for mail room issue ( installing the access card reader )
